This post, oddly enough, combines two of my favorite things: a good manicure and college football (or basketball but since football season is closer, we’ll go with that).

Some people like to get massages to relax and I’m totally on board with that but I usually don’t have enough time (or money) to get one on the regular. A manicure on the other hand (no pun intended) costs way less and takes way less time (hello lunch break). Yesterday I snuck a quick manicure in and went with my current favorite color: Essie’s Bikini So Teeny. I realized as I walked out the door that it would be the perfect blue for a UNC fan. I am far from a Tar Heel fan though, so I made a mental note to limit it’s use this fall. But NC Gals – it’s a great light blue if you’re in search.

Anyways, this realization made me start thinking of other polishes in “the right color” for other teams and that little brainstorm led me to today’s post. Your guide to a good gameday manicure come fall. Obviously I couldn’t get every team in here so I just hit on some SEC + Kentucky favorites (since that’s my neck of the woods).

The good thing is that most schools stick with primary colors so you can pretty much mix and match these to get any team color. Michigan fans: royal navy + pimms. Tennessee gals: silly billy + blanc or hope. Vanderbilt: cheeky chops + licorice. Clemson: fear or desire + bramble. I could go on but you get the point.
