Beauty + Yay! It’s a Giveaway: Beautycounter

Aug 14, 2015

What’s better than a Friday? Giving away free stuff on a Friday. Pretty awesome, right?

Beautycounter Product Review

I’m pumped to be giving away some serious Beautycounter swag (a little jealous too – I had my eye on this set) thanks to my friend Meredith, more on that in a minute. When she initially contacted me about the line, I was intrigued. Since I am both shallow and honest, I will say that my initial lure was on account of their simple, clean packaging. Such a sucker for a nice typeface.

Yes, I know my initial lure was supposed to be the lack of harmful chemicals and yes, I am all about that but to be honest, it’s not something that keeps me up at night (maybe it should but ain’t nobody got time for that). But since I am willing to give just about any beauty product a try, I started off with a couple best-sellers: the Rose Water Spray and the Countertime Enlightening Treatment Pads.

The rose water spray is great but I am a little obsessed with the treatment pads. First off, I am all about anti-aging stuff and so despite being slightly out of the demographic there, I always gravitate to the anti-aging stuff. Gotta keep those wrinkles at bay. So back to the treatment pads, you’re supposed to use them morning and night but I just like to use them in the morning instead of a full face wash. They leave your face feeling fresh, clean but most importantly, NOT DRY or tight. I’m almost out of my initial order and I’m going back for round two. Here’s a tip if you order some: cut the pads in half. You don’t really need a full pad every morning so you’ll get double the use out of it.

My next addition to my routine was the Countertime Restorative Night Cream. I alternate between this one and a thicker Erno Lazlo one. I love that it’s not too thick and also smells great (sometimes night creams can smell weird or maybe it’s just me that thinks so). Oh yeah and that it doesn’t contain harmful chemicals. I’m pretty attached to my current face wash routine but I’ve tried the Beautycounter essentials when traveling (their samples are the perfect travel size) and really liked them. Just can’t give any extended thoughts on what I think of the whole routine.

I’ve just ordered this set that includes shampoo, body wash and lotion. I’ll keep you posted on what I think of those. I’ve been on the hunt for a great shampoo for a while now so I’m hoping this is going to be the one. Fingers crossed.

Now on to the part you really care about, the giveaway. We’re giving one lucky gal the Beautycounter ‘Best in Class’ set which includes their shampoo, conditioner, body wash,  hand cream and body lotion plus a fun pouch, perfect for travel.

This set and two others (the Body 101 and the Face Time) are only available for a limited time so if you want to get in on the deal, you have until Saturday (8.15) to order here.

Right now I’m hooked on oil cleansers & serums. I’m really curious about those Beautycounter Enlightening Treatment Pads though!

    • Hi Kim!

I am so with you…I LOVE oils and serums! Our Lustro Face Oils are amazing and each is tailored to a different skin need. #1 – calendula is great for sensitive skin, #2 – jasmine is great for dry/mature skin, #3 – ylang ylang & chamomile is great for “angry” skin — breakouts, rosacea, oily, combo. I also love our Radiance Firming Complex (serum) which is clinically proven to help with lines!

The pads are amazing as well — I agree with Danielle on all she said. They leave your skin feeling fresh without the tight/dry feeling toners can sometimes have. I have samples of many pieces of the essentials and countertime lines but not the pads. However if you buy and don’t like, we have a 60 day money back policy. If you want to try the samples of cleanser/serum/moisturizers though, please shoot me an email! meredithklapheke@gmail.com

I am very intrigued by your post on these. I love Ole Heinreikson skin care but I’m always looking for something fabulous. Yes, some nightcreams stink!

These look great! Key to my beauty routine is making sure I wash my face and get all my makeup off each night!

    • Kate,
I couldn’t agree more! I cannot go to bed without a clean face! I LOVE LOVE our Countertime Nourishing Cleansing Balm to get off all my eye makeup. Just send me an email with your address at meredithklapheke@gmail.com. Thanks!
