Dress Code: Day to Night

Last week I saw a tweet from Lynzy at Sparkling Footsteps looking for an addition to her collaborative Dress Code features. I jumped at the opportunity to put together a look alongside both Lynzy and Kim from Penny Pincher Fashion. I’ve read both of their blogs for a while so I’m excited to be included in the third edition of Dress Code(see one & two), a Day to Night look.

I love how each of our looks are perfect for different summer day-to-night transitions. Each keep it simple but chic.

For my look I focused on this cobalt skirt that I am in love with right now. We’ve been going to tons of weddings this summer so for my look, I thought about going from work straight to a Friday night rehearsal dinner. For day, I kept it simple with a tee, flats and everyday bag. For night, I just switched out the shoes to some bright wedges and added a simple lace top & mint clutch.

Check out all the day-to-night details from the other girls here: Lynzy from Sparkling Footsteps & Kim from Penny Pincher Fashion

    • hey jenny – the skirt runs pretty true to size. it sits pretty high on the waist though so i would just judge accordingly when ordering. i’m sure you’ll love it!
