The snow is melting, our clocks have sprung forward and the mad dash around here that starts with the NCAA Tournament and ends with the Kentucky Derby has begun. It may seem crazy to be talking about Derby already but it’s officially time to start planning.

Over the weekend, I rounded up some good friends, bright dresses and fabulous hats to shoot my, now annual, Derby inspiration posts. This year, we got the crazy talented Jaclyn Journey in on the action to create some floral backdrops for the dresses. I can’t wait for you all to see all of Whitney Neal’s pictures. (heck, I can’t wait to see them all too!)

It will be at least another week or so until the Derby Dresses of the Day start flowing so until then I thought I’d share a little look at what we got in to this weekend. Once they do start though, it will be one a day until we’re off to the races!

Couldn’t have done it all without an amazing group of friends to model and the talents of Whitney and Jaclyn. Big thanks to Headcandi, Kenzie Kapp and Maureen’s Creations for sending over some amazing hats and fascinators; Dress & Dwell, Clodhoppers, Circe and Leona for all the spring dresses and Dandelion for a great selection of accessories. Really excited to share it all. It’s going to be a bright April!
