TGIF! Keeping it Casual at Feast

May 12, 2017

Oh hey Friday!

Last week we were all wringing our hands over a rainy Friday but today I am LOVING it. I’m working from home in my sweats, sitting on my couch and trying to tackle my to-do list as quickly as possible so I can watch a movie. Thinking of FINALLY watching La La Land (I know, I know, let’s not talk about how far behind I am).

The only thing that could make this lazy Friday even better would be if Feast delivered lunch. Ooo wait, can I use Postmates for Feast? Going to investigate as soon as I finish this post. As a mildly related side note, I am in a total workout/eating rut since running the mini-marathon a couple weeks ago. Planning on getting after it again next week but probably going to let it ride through this spur of the most lunch order (also this stream of conscious rambling is not at all sponsored but if you haven’t done Postmates yet, it is so clutch- especially when you have an assload of kids like me and don’t want to load them in the car to pick up take out, if you use this link you can get $100 in free delivery credit).

Okay so the reason I am on a Feast BBQ rant is because this outfit is from a lunch date my photog Tabitha and I had there a couple weeks ago. I ate all the tots and toasted to Friday with a bourbon & Ale 8 slushie. I don’t really love bourbon (yes, I realize that’s blasphemy here) but put just about anything in slushie form and I’m sure to love it. If you’re in Louisville and haven’t had their loaded tatter tots yet, please make plans to soon. You will not regret it. And if you’re making a trip here, add this to your itinerary then order the aforementioned tots and don’t forget to try the mac n cheese as one of your sides. Ahh, can you tell how hungry am I?

Frank & Eileen High-Lo Button-down Shirt c/o Well Heeled Stowe

p.s. – you can save 20% off this button-down, this Frye saddle bag and your entire order at Well Heeled with promo code LOUWHATWEAR . Well Heeled – which I discovered on our family trip to Vermont last fall – has a ton of options along with a really beautifully curated collection of simple, chic pieces you can keep and wear for years. Last time I was in there, I wanted one of everything.

I feel like I have to apologize for that hangry rant, not sure how that happened. Anyways, the best part about this whole ‘fit is this Frank & Eileen button-down which I realize is a bit of a splurge but is really worth it. If you’re on the shorter side, you could get away with wearing it as a shirt dress but it would also work as a swim coverup. I love the high-low hem since I tend to tuck in the front of shirts but like the back hanging out (covers the bum). The windowpane pattern on this one makes it great year round too.

But enough about the shirt… back to the food.
