Inspiration & Shopping: A Rock n Roll Holiday * Lou What Wear

Clearly you can tell from a couple of this week’s posts (here and here) that I am ready for the holidays. The next two months are my favorite and this year I’m looking forward to bringing my A-game to party attire festive holiday gatherings. I feel like it’s the one time when you can go a little over the top, a little fancier, a little more elegant for a simple dinner with friends or family.

And as much as I love glitter and sequins, this holiday I’m looking for refined pieces with a more subtle holiday shine and looks that are both sophisticated and cozy at the same time. I came across this spread from French Marie Claire and now I’m searching for ways to recreate every look. I am obsessed with the entire spread and it’s perfect combination of elegant and edgy. My favorites – the Roberto Cavalli cape over a simple LBD topped off with a hat (you know how we love hats here in KY) and the luxe velvet suit.
