Kentucky Derby Style: Pink DVF for Oaks

Apr 21, 2015

Up until now I haven’t gotten in to the full Derby look action so I’m coming in quick  with a little Kentucky Oaks action. This DVF pretty pink option with a little black and white trim was one of the simplest dresses we had but also one of my favorites. The detailing paired perfectly with this black and gray Headcandi piece which was another favorite because of the height (love something with some height).

We’re still trying to nail down our Derby plans but unfortunately I have to sit out Oaks this year (boo work) so this look is as close as I’ll get to the Pink Out for Ladies Day at Churchill Downs. So if you’re going, be sure to bet on the fillies and have a lily for me.

Speaking of going to the track, I want to see your outfits for the races. Whether you’re going to Thurby (still not sure I can get on board with that nickname), Oaks or Derby, tag me on Instagram (@louwhatwear) in your pictures and I’ll include them in my post-Derby round up. Or if you just want to share a sneak peek of what you’re wearing, I wanna see it! Derby is my jam so I can’t get enough of all the fun looks.
