The high temperature today is going to be 75 degrees so it’s especially weird to be posting a graphic with snow sprinkled on it but hey, the holidays are here whether the weather likes it or not.

This Friday, November 6th is one of my favorite events to kick off the holiday season – the Vogue St. Matthews Holiday Walk. The stores of the Vogue Center plus a bunch of others along Lexington Road keep the lights on late (from 6 to 9 pm) and roll out their holiday goodies. One of my favorite stops is always Colonial Designs to get inspired by their stunning Christmas decorations (#goals). I also like to get extremely aspirational in Paper Source – dreaming up elaborate Christmas cards and wrapping ideas (once again #goals).

The gals at my favorite gift shop Dandelion will be offering 15% off that night along with drinks and treats. So stop in and knock the first gift off your holiday shopping list or just do what I do and grab a little something for yourself.

This is always a great excuse to get some girl friends together to do a little shopping before grabbing dinner or drinks. And hey, this year you probably won’t even need to wear a coat.
