Outfit Post: A Milly Moment * Part I

Mar 21, 2013

So yesterday was the first day of Spring but judging from the temperatures outside, I’m not buying it.

That being said, with the first day of Spring comes the official countdown to the Kentucky Derby. We’re down to 44 days until the most exciting two minutes in sports so it’s definitely time to start thinking about what to wear to the races. I’ve got a few Derby style posts up my sleeve but after putting on this Milly floral number, I’ve already started planning my Derby outfit around it.

Obviously, these pictures had to be saved for inside since it is freaking freezing out now but I’m hoping for a bright, sunny day in May to wear this with a fun fascinator – I’m thinking something with purple feathers for sure.

Floral Peplum Dress: Milly c/o Clodhoppers; Shoes: DSW (last seen here with another floral number); Yellow Clutch: Coach; Sunglasses: LOFT

This is a perfect Derby dress! I think a purple fascinator would be awesome with it also.
