Outfit Post: Basics and Blue

Jul 7, 2016

Summer is supposed to be a time to slow down, right? I’m going to need a tutorial on how to make that happen because this summer has been busier than ever and I’m not even back at work full-time yet.

I’m not complaining because it’s been filled with lots of good stuff but I’ve struggled with enjoying all the little stuff because it seems like we’re always rushing to the next activity, pick-up or event. I’m craving one of those long, slow summer weekend days – preferably without rain. Fingers crossed for this weekend.

Maybe if I’m lucky, that day can end with a date night or dinner with friends – when it comes, I already have my outfit ready. I wore this simple combo a couple weeks back for a dinner date. I know every blogger and their mother has these shoes but I couldn’t help but buy them – the blue color was too good. I bought them back when I was waiting for Blake to arrive so I was pumped to finally take them for a spin.  Unfortunately, they’re sold out now but there’s no shortage of fun fringe heels out now and I’ve linked to a bunch – including some on sale.

Peasant Blouse (seen before here) | Dark Skinny Jeans (on sale for under $60 – love these and will be great for fall)  | Fringe Heels (similar here, more below)  – All Banana Republic
Vineyard Vines Silver Dipped Clutch – on sale for an extra 50% off now
