I’m in a getting dressed rut. You know the kind where you hate everything in your closet? I’m thinking this can mostly be attributed to the fact that I haven’t done laundry in way too long so I’m left with all the stuff I don’t quite love as much. I think that’s also a sign that I should get rid of some stuff but that’s neither here nor there.

The rut has led me to jump back into the shopping game and add a few more pieces to my wardrobe that will work for winter layering. Growing up in Florida + my ridiculously long arms (no, for reals, shirts that are supposed to be long sleeves end up being 3/4 length on me – hence my need for rolling sleeves) has left me with an aversion to long sleeve shirts. Mostly because finding one that fits right on both my arms and broad shoulders is tough. This Loft tunic though, is muy bueno. Sleeves are long enough, length is long enough for layering (will be great under cropped sweaters) and the print adds just the right amount of color to keep me from being too boring. It was also on big time sale which is always an extra bonus.

I layered it up with some closet standards – this cardigan/vest number is an oldie but goodie and these Madewell jeans may be the best fitting jeans I’ve ever had. Finish it off with a great pair of booties and I’m out the door. Probably to do a little more shopping when I should be doing laundry instead.
