Layers and Plaid and Hats, Oh My! * Lou What Wear

Okay, so today’s post is like fall blogger Bingo. I’ve got all the things: plaid, a layered cozy cardigan, felt hat and booties. Of course, booties. Combine those with a free space and you’re a winner. Sorry, I can’t help but love a good bingo reference.

But yeah, I’m a total blogger cliche today and I’m embracing it.

The best part of the whole look is this Rails plaid shirt. I’m not going to lie and say I haven’t scoffed at the price tag on a Rails shirt before because I have. But after splurging on this one, I think I’m a convert. It’s just so soft. I’ve definitely worn it on the couch with leggings as much as I’ve worn it out of the house. By the way, did you know that Pure Barre Louisville carries Rails now? Hence the reason I’ve worn mine with leggings so much – it just seems natural. No really, though, the Westport location has a bunch and they’re all perfect for the fall/holiday season. Also, they run pretty true to size.

Anyways… hope you’re getting your week started off on a positive note. This weekend gave me a chance to catch up on sleep, laundry and other crap around the house (which coincidentally enough are also what you need to hit Bingo in the “I’ve got too many damn kids” version). Plus, on Friday we went to see an 80’s cover band at Mercury Ballroom which was random but really fun. One thing I didn’t quite wrap up over the weekend but am hoping to tonight is my preliminary round up of holiday gifts in a whole slew of categories – from home decor, to hostess gifts, gifts for kiddos, for the guys, for moms, etc, etc, etc. If you’re on the hunt for something, let me know and I’ll add it to the list!
