Yikes a million, it’s been a while since I popped in with my weekly favorites. But then again, it’s been a while since I’ve had time to enjoy a slow Saturday morning – so there’s that.

Here in Louisville, today is Thunder Over Louisville – the biggest fireworks show in the country and the kick-off to the Kentucky Derby Festival. The Derby Festival is basically two weeks of events – concerts, races, contests and fun – leading up to the Kentucky Derby. So basically, today marks the start to two of the best weeks to be in Kentucky.

In honor of the bluegrass, today’s round-up features some local favorites – bloggers living here in KY as well as some that have wandered a little from home (makes me think of the quote below).

(check out their shop for some really cool KY prints and gear)

* When I FINALLY got to meet Grace {A Southern Drawl} she was wearing this gorgeous simple outfit (and it had stripes, so I was sold). Grace is a Louisville-based style blogger who needs to be on your bloglovin if you’re in to classic, preppy style with a twist. And… she’s a Kentucky Derby Festival Princess (yeah, that’s a thing).

* You may be a little confused about what the whole Princess thing is about (yes, it includes a crown). Read all about it over on Heather’s site of all things KY {Her Kentucky}. She’s always got some interesting tidbit about the state and its fabulous women up on the site.

* My gal Beth {seersucker + saddles} is my blogging soul sister (we’re both florida girls living in Kentucky} and I’m guessing most of you are already following her amazing style but if not, check out this amazing vacation look (if there’s anything a preppy Florida/Kentucky girl loves, it’s Lily Pulitzer) and add her to your favorites.

* Alex {Lex What Wear} is off chasing her dreams (and by chasing, I mean grabbing them by the reins) in New York but there’s no denying she’s a Kentucky gal through and through. This big blue round-up proves it.

* It’s not all pink, pastels, paisley and pastels here and Miranda {The Chic Street} is a a model of minimal, modern cool. She may not be rocking the Southern preppy style but she certainly is as sweet and lovely as a southern belle in real life. Definitely a favorite face to see at any local events.

* I think if you took a little of Beth’s preppy cool, mixed it with some of Miranda’s modern style and added a dash of sequins, you’d have Shelby {Glitter + Gingham}. That’s not to say that she doesn’t have her own unique, adorable and always on point style. This Lexington-based blogger is a fellow Cats fan (want to get jealous? check out all her instagram pics from the tournament) and all-around sweetheart.

* Another lovely Lexington gal is Steph {White Coat Wardrobe}. When she’s not rocking simple, chic and fun looks, she’s a physicians assistant student. You know I’m a fan of a pinspired-post and this one is perfect for spring.

* I met Krista {Covering the Bases} at LuckyFABB last year and have been following her MLB adventures in NY ever since. She’s no longer based in the bluegrass but her days at UK have definitely made her a Kentucky girl at heart. She’s in the middle of a really fun “what to wear” series with every MLB team and this Cubs post is a personal favorite.

* Last but not least, I discovered Tiffany’s blog {Offbeat + Inspired} through Beth at s+s and have definitely been inspired ever since. The images are amazing, the food looks delicious and it seems like everything she does is beautifully cultivated and perfectly pinterest ready. Consider me jealous. Jealous and inspired.

That’s only a small slice of the amazing bloggers here, the Southern Blog Society has a list of some other great sites here to check out.
