Shopping: Derby Style For the Fellas – Clayton & Crume + The Fashion Post

Apr 17, 2014

Clearly I’ve been focused on Derby fashions for the gals but that doesn’t mean looking good at the track isn’t just as important for the guys. So today’s post is a little break from the dresses for some local love geared to the southern gentlemen in your life.

A while back, I told you all about Katie Jury – a local artist creating beautiful prints and other goodies. Well last week, her equally talented husband Tyler dropped me a note about his business – Clayton & Crume. Along with his partner Clay, Tyler set out to create a line a high-quality leather goods that combined southern style and quality materials at an honest price point. After seeing just a couple of their products, I knew I had to share their line with you all.

The line is all hand constructed here in Louisville and the styles are great for the guys and gals (this one would be great with white jeans and a chambray button down). They’ll even do something custom if you’ve got something specific in mind. I’m especially loving their Derby Collection – full of racing inspired pieces.

If you’re guy is still looking to put the finishing touch on his Derby ensemble or if you’re just looking for something a little more polished than his collegiate needlepoint belt – you’re in luck. Clayton & Crume is offering Lou What Wear readers 20% off the entire “Derby Collection” – which includes the three thoroughbred belts, as well as the jockey silks belt and the two thoroughbred key fobs. Act quick though, this offer only runs through Sunday, April 20th. Just use code Derby14 to get your 20% off.

Seriously, go snag one. All their belts are $85 and with 20% off you can get a hand-made piece for under $70.

Before you head off to do a little online shopping, put a note in your calendar to stop by The Fashion Post this Saturday, April 19th for their annual Cookies & Bow Ties shopping event. You can pick out the perfect bow tie for your guy to match your Derby look or if you’re not into that kind of thing – just let him know so he can go snag one himself. Let him know there will be cookies and bourbon balls too. Never hurts to have a couple sweet treats while shopping. All the details are below.
