Shopping: Five Gifts for Your Mom

Nov 23, 2015

I can’t help but think of the comeback “Your Mom!” as I put this post together but rest assured, this is no joke. Instead I’ve rounded up five thoughtful gifts that your mom or any mom for that matter would love.

When I shop for my mom I try to think of something that’s both practical – clearly I want her to actually use it – but also a little special. Something that’s a little out of the ordinary or a little happy or something she might not splurge on for herself. I usually end up trying to find an item to fit each of those categories – one little happy, one big happy and one practical gift.

So I kept those things in mind when narrowing down my five. You can never go wrong with new PJ’s – get them monogrammed for an extra special touch. You know your mom is the best and with this mug she can remember every day without you having to remember to call (or text). I got my mom a Clarisonic a couple years ago and she loved it. It’s something she would have never bought herself but now uses all the time.

Last but not least, these two monogrammed options are great. Give mom a new bag to carry all her gear around in. My mom travels all the time so this bag may be heading her way this year. And these sweet, simple necklaces are perfect alone or layered. Get her initials, you and your siblings or maybe her grandkids. She’ll love it and the sentiment behind it.

Whatever you get, don’t forget to put a little thought and pizazz into it. It’s YOUR mom.
