Shopping: The Best Booties

Sep 30, 2015

Don’t let the title fool you. This is not a fitness post. Nope we’re talking about a much easier way to get the best bootie – hitting up the mall.

I am a big sucker when it comes to booties. I own way too many pairs for my own good but they are such a versatile closet item and each pair gives a different feel to outfits. Black leather booties add a little edge. Brown suede with some fringe detailing – instant boho. Simple flat suede boots give a more modern feel to a classic jeans and t-shirt combo. I could go on but will spare you.

When it comes to picking the pair that’s right for you – I suggest considering where you will wear them most. If it’s going to be more of a weekend daytime vibe, pick a brown pair that works with worn-in denim, cozy sweaters and plaid. Looking for something for work – go for a sleek black leather pair. Want to add edge – look for hardware details or grab a motorcycle boot.

Here’s a little inspiration + some of my favorite booties. I’ve also rounded up some great pairs to get you started. Check out the notes in each for my styling tips.

I was always hesitant to wear booties up until last year because I’m so darn short! Little did I know I was always pulling pairs that “cut me off” at my ankles … Love this round up, lady! I have way too many pairs after I discovered that short girls can wear booties too, but I just use the excuse that they’re investment pieces. 😉

  2. […] Basically, I want to wear one of the outfits below every day from now until the end of the holidays. And yes, if I could get away with wearing sneakers {almost} every day until then too, I would. You know, sneakers or booties.  […]
