Spring Brights

Mar 21, 2017

Okay, so how great is it that it’s Derby season again? So good right? I’m working on getting together the Derby shop page so you can always find full looks. If someone could just add like 6 – 8 hours into the day, I’d have it finished up this evening.

But since Derby isn’t everyone’s cup of tea (I can’t relate but will try to understand), I’m keeping the regular content worked in. And since it’s officially Spring, I figured it was time to ditch all the black, navy and neutral layers for some color. I know it’s been a while but I do remember what wearing color is like. But if I didn’t, this outfit would be a great shock to the system.

J.Crew Button back Bell-Sleeve Top (on sale now)
Vineyard Vines Everyday Shorts + Neon Dipped Straw Tote c/o
J.Crew Stripe Flats (sold out, similar here)

I’m guessing some of you will think these Vineyard Vines shorts are a little bright for your taste but if you keep it simple in your pairings, they are really easy to wear. Plus they’re really comfortable and just the right length. They’re especially great when you’re not in the mood to think of a great outfit but don’t want to be boring. Just pair these with simple sandals and a white top and you’ve got the perfect spring/summer look.

And this will be my last PSA for this shirt but I really love it that much (just ordered it in this color). It’s such a good alternative to a t-shirt and right now it’s 30% off along with everything else at J.Crew. That makes it less than $30 (you know you’ve spend more on a shirt from Target), so go on and snag it. Or just head over and pick out something fun for spring. I’ve included a few of my favorites below.
