Style Spotting: Louisville Uncorked

Aug 21, 2012

Last Thursday night, the girls from my office hit one of Louisville’s most fun “networking events” (I put it in quotations because it’s mostly an adult mixer) Louisville Uncorked. This regular event involves gathering a couple friends to make a team. You bring three bottles of wine – two for the tasting and one that gets held back for the winner. The team whose wine scores the highest takes home a BOUNTY of wine.

Last week’s Louisville Uncorked benefited Big Brothers Big Sisters and took place at the Frazier History Museum. Tons of people packed the top floor to taste bottle upon bottle of French white wines. And beyond just the mingling and drinking, the invitation called for guests to dress to impress, so of course I snapped a few pictures of some great looks.

Enjoy!

You can’t really see it in this picture but the pattern on Becca’s dress was great and I loved the bright pop with the red clutch.

This seriously stylish group of ladies definitely thought I was a stalker at first but after dropping my business cards on them, they quickly struck a pose. Love the bright pops of blue, high buns, floral print and statement necklaces.

I loved loved loved Lauren’s top paired with skinny black pants and wedges. I also loved Jackie’s simple white sheath topped with a simple long, gold chain. And I’m always a fan of a blue dress. (It seemed to be a theme last week.)

How great is this patterned skirt with a simple tank, long necklace and heels? I loved it. I am also mildly obsessed with the wedges on the right and you can’t tell in the light but that’s not just a basic black Tory Burch clutch. It had a really pretty shimmery rust/gold metallic color.

Last but not least, here’s the Boxcar Crew… ready to tackle all the wine we can handle!

All in all it was a pretty fun evening especially since it was a “work event.” Even though we didn’t win the night was a success and we left just before things started to get a little wild on the dance floor.
