Earlier this month, I was invited to attend a very fun breakfast/shopping outing for the grand opening of the new Ross store here. It was a lot of fun especially meeting other local bloggers like Melissa from Loueyville (a twitter friend for a while who I was so happy to finally meet), Kim & Julee from DIY Louisville, Leslie from The Style Supreme and A Thrifty Geek.
We got to get the inside scoop on the new store and their brand strategy before they let us loose in the new store with a $50 gift card. I liked hearing that they spend less on fixtures and other cosmetic things to instead focus on finding the best stuff for WAY less. They put a big focus on dresses & shoes (I spotted a bunch of big brand names) so if you’re in the market for them, it’s worth the hunt.
I can attest to the fact that they have tons of great stuff on the cheap. Here are my finds (I was extremely pumped) …. an awesome color block dress, two stripe tank tops (an obsession, I know), a necklace and bracelet. After my gift card, I only spent $25 on all those goodies. I’ve already worn each of my finds at least once but unfortunately only snapped a picture in one (the stripe blue shirt). I included it below but be on the lookout for these guys in future posts.
