Yay It’s a Giveaway: bella bliss $100 Gift Card

Jun 26, 2012

Winner Update! Congrats to Nancy B. for winning the $100 gift card! Here’s what she had to say about her favorite summer memory: ” Summer memories: Hosting lemonade stands, catching lightning bugs, playing at the swimming pool!”

Thanks to everyone who entered! It was fun hearing all your summer favorites.

To make up for the blur in yesterday’s post, I’m coming strong today with a giveaway and it’s a good one. bella bliss® is an amazing line that started as traditional children’s clothing and has morphed into offering more and more every season. I worked at bella bliss in college, when the line was relatively small, and in the three years I was there I went from packing boxes of  adorable sweaters and basics to swimsuits, ladies lounge wear and tons and tons of seriously cute kids clothes.

Whenever I’m in Lexington, I make sure to stop by Bliss (as it’s affectionately called) to hang out with Lisa (the owner & designer) and visit with her adorable kids Mac & Katharine (that I also had the pleasure of babysitting). And now that I have a little one, I always stock up on basics for him.

So here’s where you come in. Starting tomorrow, Bliss is hosting their annual Warehouse Sale. This thing is serious business thanks to some serious mark downs. If you’re in Lexington (or can get there easily), you need to head downtown to Sayre School (across the street from their store on 209 North Limestone) to snag some of the goodies. But luckily for you, if you’re not – you have a chance to win a $100 gift card to use on whatever you heart desires. And this giveaway isn’t only for moms (or really awesome aunts), bella bliss has some really fun printed tunics & dresses perfect for summer. They’ve also just added jewelry – so you’ll definitely find something you’ll love.

Here’s the scoop on the sale from the bella bliss blog:

bella bliss will hold it’s 6th annual warehouse sale in conjunction with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Light the Night Walk June 27th – 29th from 10 am to 5 pm.   For the past six years bella bliss has donated 10% of the net proceeds from the sale to the LLS Light the Night Walk, and has been able to donate over $30,000 so far!  The sale is held in Lexington, KY at Sayre School, who has been so kind to donate their space for the second year now.  It is an opportunity for bella bliss to clear out samples and overstock at up to 90% off retail prices, with most clothing being $10, and is quite the popular event here in Lexington, KY.  Moms have traveled from as far as Atlanta to stock up on their favorite pieces for little ones!  The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has proven to be a wonderful organization to partner with.  They provide volunteers to help us with the sale and our joint efforts in marketing really help to get the word out.  We are looking forward to this year’s sale and hope that we can continue to grow this beneficial event.

I’ve compiled some of my favorites here and check out the details below on how to enter.

p.s. – bella bliss is going to hosting a giveaway on their own soon. just take a picture of  your favorite little person (i.e. – your son/daughter/niece/nephew – no creeping people) in bella bliss and then post it on their facebook page. they could appear in the fall catalog and win a $250 gift card? Like their facebook page to stay tuned for details!

favorite summer childhood memory….definately going to hilton head every summer with our family friends. we would check out greg russel who would sing under the big tree in harbor town and we would plan the song we would sing on stage if he asked us up the whole trip down 🙂

  3. Andrea Ermler says:

My favorite summer childhood memory: practicing fast-pitch softball pitching with my mom in our driveway. She was my catcher and was very good. I threw a wild pitch and totally drilled my step dads car’s (which we called ‘The Butt Ugly’) tail light. We both looked at each other and busted out laughing. 😉

  4. Andrea Ermler says:

And, you know I love your post 😉

I remember washing my dolls clothes on an old-fashioned washboard and hanging them on a clothesline with little pink and blue clothespins. My mom just gave one to me the other day.

  12. Paige says:

My mom and one of sisters would take the entire family to the beach. My sweet Aunt Dot would make taffy for the kids, then we would have a taffy pulling contest on the porch. Those were some very special memories that I will never forget.

One of my favorite childhood memories was 4th of July 1993. We went with another family our neighborhood to see Jurassic Park at the drive-in theater. When we got home, our dog was having puppies, and we got to stay up and watch. One was born after midnight (staying up past midnight was a big deal when you’re 11!) and we named her Firecracker. We spent the next day swimming, cooking out, and showing off our new puppies to the whole neighborhood!

Oh and I liked Lou What Wear and Bella Bliss on Facebook and followed and tweeted both on Twitter. Pick me :)))

  20. Paige Florence-Baxter says:
