Outfit Post: All American

Happy 4th of July!

It would be a lot cooler if it wasn’t raining but a little rain won’t stop me from breaking out some red, white and blue.

I took a page out of yesterday’s post and threw together a simple look with stuff already in my closet. And if you’re struggling to put together some patriotic you can always rely on jeans and a white tee. I’ll be wearing this to fireworks later if it ever stops raining.

What are your big holiday plans?

Inspiration: Jeans and a T-Shirt

Sometimes all you really want to throw on in the morning is jeans and a t-shirt – simple and easy. It’s highly likely you have at least one of each (although I’m guessing it’s way more than that) in your closet and with the right accessories you can make these basics into a polished look.

Here’s a few of my favorite (and some of the most stylish) celebrities rocking the look.

Keeping it short and sweet today so I can get back to work but don’t forget to enter the Sole Society giveaway – just one more day to enter! Remember there are three winners so you’ll want to get your entries in! read more

Outfit Post: Just the Basics

I was cleaning up my computer (aka deleting a bunch of stuff) and came across these pictures and realized I never posted them. It’s not too much of a throw back since they are only a few weeks old but I thought give a quick post since this combo {jeans + simple light sweater} is never really out of style.

I’ve also been on quite the monogram kick of late so you get a peek at my go-to summer necklace.

Outfit Post: The Uniform

At my last job, it was all business when it came to the clothes. But now that I’m in a more relaxed work environment (in more ways than one), the dress code allows for more freedom. That being said, I still have meetings with clients regularly where I dress up a little more.  On a typical day though, you can find me in an outfit just like this one. Dark denim, tee (or button down) and a jacket. If I’ve got meetings, I throw on the heels.

It may be jeans but I like to make it feel a smidge more professional. read more
