If you’re reading this, you probably like fashion and let’s be real – who doesn’t love puppies? Clearly Banana Republic knew these two go together like peanut butter and chocolate (well, as long as the pup isn’t eating your new favorite pair of shoes) and decided that the best way to launch their new collaboration with Trina Turk would be to parade some pretty adorable pups (from the ASPCA) around in the new printed gear.
From the video it looks like there’s a bunch of swim suits, accessories – I’m digging the neon necklace and the towels – and dresses galore. The line launches on June 7th and some lucky ladies have the opportunity to go to a launch party at their local stores. Unfortunately for us gals in Louisville, the closest one to us is Chicago. That doesn’t mean you can’t check out the collection online or in stores though.
Anyways, if you’re wishing it was Friday already and need something to make you smile, this video should do the trick!
Thanks so much to the lovely Caitlin B. (@k8linB – follow her on twitter!) for letting me know about this!
If you’re lucky enough to live in one of these cities, here’s all the launch party details…
Before a long weekend spent poolside, we headed out for a little get together among friends on Friday night. I welcome the opportunity to throw on a sundress, some flip flops and a colorful necklace to enjoy some cocktails outside.I’m mildly obsessed with this necklace and went to buy it in the mint color on Bauble Bar today only to discover they were both sold out. Bummer.
p.s. – Sorry for the semi-blurry pics. Last week my camera suffered an accidentally drowning by water bottle. I feared the worst but after a couple days drying out it seems to be back in action. Today’s pictures were much crisper than these, I think because the lens was still drying out. Who knows. Hopefully you’ll bear with with me until the camera is back to its old self. Oh and additional apologies for the bow-legged pose. Clearly I was being rushed.
Finally… it’s Friday. Memorial Day Weekend is finally here. I’ll be spending my weekend basking in the rays poolside (and trying to survive the heat). Hopefully you’re already on your way to the beach, the lake or the pool. Here’s to enjoying the holiday weekend and remembering the reason for our three-day weekend – be sure you thank a veteran for their service!
