I totally forgot about this outfit and stumbled upon it when I was trying to plan my post for today (there’s a look at how far I plan ahead). In my defense, I am waiting on some pictures from a shoot I did last week so I’m not totally behind – just mostly. So enjoy some fall leaves since we won’t be seeing them for a while!
I keep it casual about 90% of the time and if you bump into me, it’s pretty likely I’ll be wearing some variation of this – probably without the hat (they are harder for me to pull off in the day – not sure why I feel that way). Mostly I wanted to share this post because of these booties which are the best things I’ve purchased all year. No lie. Not necessarily the most fun but, by far, the most useful and they’re under $100. They’re already getting that well-worn look and I’ve only had them a few months (such a good NSale buy). They are still available and would make a legit Christmas gift.
I’ve waxed poetic about these jeans since the minute I got them but honestly, I cannot say enough how much I love them. They have this built-in sculpt that holds it all in but also makes them fit so much better. Basically, it’s all but eliminated the ‘hike-em-up’ dance I tend to do with most jeans. I did the dance the other day and didn’t realize my daughter saw me. She did her own version and had me in stitches… and also embarrassed. Like if that’s what she thinks it looks like, what do other people think when they see you do the hike. Already thinking about how many times I do it a day. {Insert hand over eyes emoji here}
Being able to pull of a daytime hat is something I’m pretty sure I’ll never be able to do. Why does it feel different in the evening? Maybe because there are cocktails involved??
