Most Fridays, I’m all throwing my hands in the air praising the heavens for the end of the week. But you guys, last night Reese woke up in the middle of the night sick. Which was a nice one-two punch after having to take off Wednesday and Thursday with Blake sick; And by sick, I mean they have each been sick for a combined total of four hours but these stringent daycare rules have me carrying them around with me like messy, loud purses on various meetings and appointments. So yeah, now I’m gearing up for two more days of all three of them. Send in reinforcements.
At least it looks like I’ve got a fun Friday planned if you look at this outfit. So a couple weeks ago when we were in Vermont, my mom and I went shopping at the CUTEST boutique in Stowe, Well Heeled. I picked up this poncho (with sleeves FTW) and haven’t stopped wearing it since. It is so warm that you can go without a coat – even in these seriously chilly temps.
The main event though, are these boots. I love a good pair of riding boots. I had a pair that I loved but I wore them out. No really, there was a hole in the sole. I’ve been looking for a great pair since but have been really picky about it since I didn’t want to splurge on something I didn’t love. Also, a lot of riding boots have a lot of extra frills on them and I just want a simple pair in a great color. These Justin Boots fit the bill. No funky heel, just the right color and great for every day.
My tip for ordering though is to stick with your normal size. They said you might want to order up a half size but I didn’t find that to be the case. Also, if you’re a cowboy boot kind of girl (I just can’t quite pull off the look without seeming like I’m trying too hard or wearing a costume – props to the girls that can especially with jean shorts, such a cute look) Justin Boots has so awesome options. From the really elaborate pairs to the more worn, laid back styles – I dig this pair. They also have some adorable options for little girls – like these and these. I’m thinking of getting Reese a pair. I feel like she can totally pull it off. Mostly, because at 2, she’s already cooler (and way more confident) than me.
