First off, I promise to get back to some of my regular posts tomorrow. This weekend was chock full of fun stuff – a BIG Derby photo shoot, a blogger brunch and TWO CATS WINS (sorry I’m pretty excited about it) – so time kind of got away from me.
That being said, I couldn’t let a day go by without a Derby dress. I’ve been on the hunt for a perfect little stripe dress for Derby and I’m pretty sure I found it in this Line & Dot lovely. Gray stripes, a sexy/sweet exposed back and a tiny trim of cobalt blue (obviously my favorite part) – all for under$150. Yup, you can snag this without totally breaking the bank. I may need to order it and save it for a summer weddings after I’ve gotten back to my normal (read: not pregnant) self.
I love this dress for a day spent outside so I’ve picked it for an outdoor box, specifically a finish line box. I can just see a pretty lady wearing this paired with a bright blue hat cheering the horses to the finish. I’ve added a few shoe options – one with a touch of red for a patriotic, summery look. You can always go simple with a nude wedge though and here’s a couple more options (both at really reasonable prices).
Tip: If you love this dress, go baby go! and grab it. I’ve seen it sold out on a couple sites but the link below has all sizes left… for now.
