I was going to throw our a little polka dot number for today’s dress but then I popped on Facebook and saw that one of my favorite local boutiques, Blink, is now carrying Paper Crown by Lauren Conrad. So with 31 days until Derby, I thought I’d share a couple Paper Crown beauties for your Derby dressing happiness and better yet, you can try the lovely on the left locally if you stop into Blink.

I picked both of these for the Jockey Club suites because I don’t recommend going strapless unless you have a “home base” to hang at all day (you know, somewhere to leave your stuff and/or sit down). Just too much adjusting with too much to keep track of if you’re going to be walking around all day. The dress on the right could work for other areas but I’d want to pair it with a giant, bright hat and I think that’s better suited for areas where you won’t be as crowded around all day.

The hat options for both of these are endless. The subdued colors mean you can really go all out with your hat and accessories. I’ve paired it with some pastel clutches but it’s really a blank canvas on what to pair these with. Oh and if you stop into Blink, tell ’em Lou What Wear sent ya!
