The Mansion is a {relatively} new area at the track. Opening last year during Derby week, the Mansion is touted as an “elegant” and “luxurious” space that allows you to spend the day watching the races in a swanky, private section of the track that feels more like a home than a sports venue. Fancy right?

As much as I’d love to say I’ve experienced this part of Churchill Downs first hand, I’ve yet to lay eyes on this section but that doesn’t mean I can’t imagine what one might wear there. With it’s more modern feel, I imagine you can be a little more bold and daring here rather than following the more traditional preppy styles commonly found in the old-school elegance of the Turf Club or 5th Floor Clubhouse.

So when I saw these cut-out dresses, I immediately pegged them for a day at the Mansion. You can certainly wear these, especially the adorable pink stripe version, in other areas of the track but I like the sexier vibe these have that fit the mood of the newest section of Churchill.
