Today’s dress isn’t as bright and bold as my normal picks but there’s something about it I love for the races. I think the subtle floral print kind of reminds me of some older Derby posters but I love the colors and print combined with the fact that this little number is leather.

Okay, you’re probably like “what the what? why in the sam hell would you recommend a leather shift dress for derby?” Stick with me. This dress is only, I repeat, only recommended if you’re going to have access to air conditioning. So if you’re in the turf club, jockey club suites, millionaire’s row, 5th floor clubhouse, etc. you should be good. I definitely don’t think this is a suitable choice for someone who will be spending most of the day out doors. I’m thinking you pair this with simple heels and do something that plays on the colors in the dress for a pretty outstanding hat.

p.s. – Sorry for the haphazard posting this week, not sure what it is but my time management skills have been pretty piss poor lately.
