Woo Hoo!
As I’m writing this, it feels like it’s Christmas Eve or maybe, Christmas Eve’s eve. As you read this, I may be waking exhausted since I may be too excited to sleep (thank you Five Hour Energy). Today’s my day to get all glammed up and hit the track and thankfully the weather is supposed to cooperate (fingers crossed).
It’s all about thinking pink for Oaks – the day is all about the ladies, or fillies, and the pink is a celebration of Breast Cancer Survivors – but that doesn’t mean you have to pull a Miss Piggy and go head-to-toe pink. I love the idea of subtly incorporating pink into your look. For my look, this light and airy number from Dress & Dwell has the perfect Southern combination of green and pink. And well Beth, she’s looking like a sophisticated and modern Barbie doll. I am absolutely obsessed with this headCandi fascinator – the pink, the polka dots, the black and white. In love.
I can’t wait to share pictures of the fascinator Britni made for me (i’m sure you’ll be able to sneak a look on instagram today). She dropped it off and I definitely swooned a little.
If you’re going to be at the track, make sure to snap a picture and send it to me at danielle@louwhatwear.com – I can’t wait to see all the stylish guys and gals out there!
