The last couple weeks my schedule has been all out of whack. Drew travels for work every once in a while but it’s seemed like it’s been a little more frequent of late. Those trips usually mean my schedule can get thrown for a loop. And by a loop, I mean I turn around and it’s 9:00 p.m. and I’m still in the disheveled remnants of what I wore to work and I’m eating the leftovers of whatever noodles I made D3 for dinner. To make a long story much, much shorter, it basically means it’s hard to find time to work out.
Thankfully in the last few days I’ve been able to get back into some sort of a routine and back into classes at Milestone. Louisville gals – they have added a bunch of classes after 5 pm in the last month. This is HUGE for me and I know it’s great for all the other 9 to 5 (or 8 to 6) people out there. The new 20/20/20 on Thursdays at 6: 30 pm may be my new favorite thing. And last night’s Rhythm Ride (Mondays at 7 pm) wore me out – in the best way possible.
For me, variety is key. I get bored if I do the same class (with the same music) time after time. So keeping things different (and the ridiculous amount of different classes available) has helped me stick with it. When I can’t make it into the gym, I’ve been mixing up running on the treadmill with (big time confession here – don’t judge) doing zumba to this one instructor I found on YouTube who I am obsessed with. Her name is Medora Cesarano, she teaches in Seattle and if I ever make it to Washington – the first thing I’m doing (okay maybe not the first thing) is going to one of her classes. LOVE. Also, I just found a link on her Facebook page where you can view entire classes. Day Made.
Next time I post, I’m hoping to have accomplished a personal goal of FINALLY trying one of the Pilates Reformer classes at Milestone. And possibly take a complete 180 from that and try out their new Crossfit classes (seriously they’ve got all the classes there). If you’re into Crossfit but don’t want to join a gym that solely focuses on that, there’s a pretty great giveaway going on right now that you’re going to want to enter. More details below.
