Last night was a whirlwind. After work, I headed to Clodhoppers where I had an amazing time with Cary & Meggie, the girls from Mary-Elliott (check out their new blog, it is sure to be one of your future favorites). They pulled some fun outfits with all their new fall favorites and thankfully, I had a couple pals there to help with modeling. Their new items from Milly are amazing and I can’t wait to share the pictures with you all next week.
Afterwards, I headed over to the lovely @k8linB ‘s abode for a night of cocktails and cocktail rings from Stella & Dot. That’s a whole other post full of fun jewelry and outfits that will be coming your way next week. I’m kicking off a Favorite Things Friday post and wanted to share my favorite baubles from last night’s party.
Before we get to the bling though, I know tons of people will be heading to Lexington for the big UofL vs. UK game tomorrow. I’m 100% sure there will be many enviable game-day ‘fits but unfortunately, this girl will be in the Lou watching from home. So if you spot a great look in the right color (whichever is the right color is up to you – we’re all about equality here at LouWhatWear – mostly because I live in a “house divided) please send it my way. Just snap a pic and email it to submit@louwhatwear.com or you can just upload it to twitter and send it my way – @louwhatwear.
Love this necklace and have been coveting it but can’t seem to splurge for it. Great for fall and would add a pop of color to any basic. I picture myself using it to dress up a simple outfit of jeans, a white tee-shirt and boots.
This pretty little piece was purchased last night by a fellow party-goer and I got a little jealous. A twist on the classic pearl necklace – perfect for work, a night out or to dress up a causal outfit.
I’m pretty sure these classic hoops made it into someone’s shopping cart last night. Another basic with a twist.
Another favorite (that alas, has not made it’s way to my collection) is this bracelet that has been spotted on Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl. I prefer it with a more casual or work look but who’s to argue with Ms. Blair (said in Dorota’s voice).
Last but not least, if you’re looking for a cocktail ring to dress up your digits – I love this little guy (don’t why I decided it’s a man – probably cause of the claws). @kellyvey wore this to the party last night and dropped a fun fact: the ring adjusts from the inside – so it fits any hand.
There’ll be some more style spotting from this party next week. Until then, be sure to send me your favorite Game Day Outfits and have a happy weekend!
p.s. – I was not compensated for this post. Just some fun items I wanted to share.
Great choices, Danielle! If any of you style-watching fashionistas are interested in hosting your very own Stella & Dot trunk show, give me a shout: 502-609-9639. You could easily earn any of those items for free!
