Lately I’ve been gravitating to a noticeable darker color pallet. And by color, I just mean black. Sometimes with a little gray or white mixed in but mostly all black everything. I’m blaming this partly on the slimming effect that I am taking full advantage of during this in-between stage of being preg (that is she or isn’t she thing is a killer – i just let it be known so there’s less judgement when I hit up the desert table). My opinion is that when you pile on the black and you look instantly chic whether it’s polished, preppy, boho, sporty or casual. I’m also pretty obsessed with all the layering in the looks below – tons of different textures and lengths.
Last night I rocked an all-black ensemble to the JT concert (amazeballs by the way) and today, other than a dark pair of denim, I’m going with the all black everything look. It’s been a pretty consistent theme of late. I’ve also got a new pair of black leather boots, a black faux fur vest, lots of loose black sweaters and maybe a new black bag on my wish list this Christmas so hopefully a couple new additions will keep my new uniform looking fresh. One thing I do to keep it from looking too Addams Family is throwing on a a bright necklace and/or a fun lip color (loving deep reds and bright pinks right now) or adding a colorful bag.
