I’m one of those girls that can’t do nails. It’s no secret to people that know me that I’m a nervous nail-biter. So not only am I horrible at painting my own nails, I can’t even really keep mine from looking a total mess without professional help.
But I have serious nail envy. I can totally empathize with Gretchen Weiners when she said “my nail beds suck.” And I get serious jealousy when I spot a great manicure and hear that she did it herself. Props to you pretty hands.
I’m super indecisive when I head to the nail salon so I’ve put together a little nail inspiration for next time I’m standing at the technicolor wall of polish.
Whether your a classic color gal or a mid-to-mildly more adventurous lady, there’s an option for everyone. My personal favorite is a simple nail color with a touch or sparkle. Perfect for the transition from work to holiday fun.
I have recently been paying more attention to my nails. I am lucky enough to have great nail beds (sorry Gretchen and Danielle!) but my nails are brittle. I’m still looking for the best way to make them stronger. Keeping polish on them seems to help a little. Good luck with your next color decision, you have some great inspiration here!

Thank you for this post! I’ve been following your blog for awhile and I too am a nervous nail-biter! Could you tell me the name of the color in the keeping it simple section, above the red nails – the beigy, creamy color. Thank you!
Hi Claire!
Glad I’m not the only one! The color is Essie “topless and barefoot.” Also, if you want to check out info on all the pictures, here’s a link to the pinterest board with all the details: http://pinterest.com/louwhatwear/nail-love/
