September may mark the beginning of fall but I don’t feel like it really sets in until October. And here in Kentucky, October means one thing – Keeneland.
If you’ve never been to Keeneland, you should add it to your bucket list (take a little online visit here). It truly is one of the more beautiful places in this country. While a day at the races in other parts of the country (if they even happen with regularity any where else) don’t require any sort of dressing up, a day at Keeneland requires a certain sort of decorum.
I absolutely love Keeneland especially the October meet. The fall weather is perfect, the {Southern} fashion is always something to see and there’s nothing like tailgaiting for a day betting on the ponies (and hopefully winning a little).
To get you all ready for the fall meet (which kicks off on Friday), I’ve teamed up with a couple of my favorite fellow Kentucky bloggers – the lovely Lexington ladies Beth from {Seersucker + Saddles} and Alex from {Lex What Wear} – to give you a peek at what we’ll be sporting for a day at the races.
p.s. – we’re hoping to make this a monthly feature… so make sure to stay tuned for more collaborations!
