Unless you’re living in Florida, Texas or Southern California, I’m guessing you’ve officially retired your flip flops and sandals for a few months. But what about when you’re not in the mood for boots and it’s a little too chilly for flats (read: you want to wear socks)? That’s when it’s time to lace up your sneakers.
No longer the one item you painstakingly picked before the first day of school or conversely (see what I did there?) the one item you picked carelessly only to throw them in your gym bag and bring out into the light before hopping on the treadmill, sneakers have upped their game.
For the last couple years, I’ve been pretty loyal to my simple Supergas but I just snagged a new pair of New Balance for J.Crew sneaks and now I’m on the hunt for more (I’m blaming Beth for this new addiction). I’m looking forward to fall days full of slouchy sweaters, slim leggings or stretchy denim and comfy sneakers.
Go bold (leopard! florals! polka dots!) or classic. Either way, you’ll look sporty and chic (just stay away from yoga pants and dry fit gear and you’re good).
White Converse | Navy Vans | White Superga
Navy and Gray Asics | Gold Polka Dot Keds + Kate Spade | Leopard Supergas
Peach and Rose New Balance + J.Crew | Liberty Floral Vans | Multi Color Superga
Navy Superga | Black Converse | Heather Gray and Blue New Balance + J.Crew
I haven’t been into the tennis shoe trend until recently, but now I really like it. I haven’t actually purchased any yet, but I want some! I love the classic white and the gold polka dot pairs!
