I’m in need of a mid-week pick me up and this dress is as close to a sunny day as I have in my closet.
You know those weeks that seem to fly by because you don’t have a second to sit down and think but also seem to take forever for the exact same reason? Okay, maybe that doesn’t make much sense but that’s how this week feels … and it’s only Wednesday.
It’s a good kind of busy though. My kids are all finally back in school and I can hardly believe it but D3 started kindergarten today. No more pre-school or pre-K, kindergarten. It’s nuts. Makes me feel proud and … old. Like a real live grown-up, not just one pretending.
So we’ve been preparing for his big first day while also trying to get everything set for a big trip to New York this weekend. We’re going for a wedding this weekend and then I’m staying for work until next Thursday. To add to the chaos, Drew is out of town off and on – it’s a mess. It will be the longest we’ve left all three and I’m already shopping for gifts for our family to thank them for helping us out.
But enough of all that. Back to this bright sunny dress. I literally stalked this dress online for a good six weeks. I finally splurged for it when it went on sale. It’s sold out now, major bummer, but I bet they bring it back or it pops up in another color in the next couple weeks – I’ll be on the look out. Until then, I rounded up some other stripe dresses cause I can never get enough.
It’s a good one because it works just as well with sneakers as it does with heels. I wore it both ways in Charleston last week so stay tuned for the night time look tomorrow.

Loooove the yellow on you! And those sneakers are great, too. Come back to Charleston!!
Love the stripes.
