I think Derby is slowly taking over my life. With two big events we’re working on at the office, I turn around and it’s already 2 pm and I have yet to post my Derby dress of the day. Yes, I know I should be prepared and schedule these but life is getting the best of me these days. So I know you all probably could care less but either way, sorry for being so slow on these the last few days. I promise to get back on my game for the homestretch!
This look is so quintessential Derby. Light, breezy, a little sweet but chic and colorful. The pom-pom trim along the bottom of this Alexis shift from Circe is definitely my favorite. Small enough to just add a tiny touch of interest rather than looking too kiddie.Be sure to check out the crop top and skirt combo that’s also available in this pattern AND this big time save option from LOFT. This Kenzie Kapp fascinator is one of my favorites – the color combination is a little unexpected and goes perfectly with the simple black and white. The whole combo looked great on the always fabulous Kristen (seriously, girl is always put together – I need to know her secret).
Speaking of Circe, you’re going to want to stop in and check out their selection if you’v got great tickets to the races. If you’re coming in from out of town, give them a call and let them walk you through some options that will be the perfect pairing with your Jockey Club Suite or Turf Club tickets. They can also help out your guy finish off his look with their “brother” store SWAG that carries a ton of bow tie, pocket squares and stand out socks.
I may end up calling them and just letting them figure out what I’m going to wear to Derby. Yup, definitely way behind in that category but hey, we’ve still got 17 shopping days. : /

First of all, I want to live in that flower wall. It just makes me happy every. single. time.
Also, I think “life is getting away from me” is the theme of Derby Season in Louisville. Everything is so fun, and so wonderful, and there’s no way that I can make it to a quarter of the things that I’m supposed to attend. Trying quite hard not to let the FOMO situation overtake me! Hope things slow down a bit for you, too! 🙂
