The Derby is commonly referred to as the Run for the Roses and this look really embodies that vibe. Once again, we’re going with a crop top and skirt combo this time pairing this black Milly top from Clodhoppers with this gorgeous floral skirt from Dress & Dwell. This whole look is perfect for the track but I think it would work equally well for one of the Derby eve galas, just take off the fascinator and go with a strappy black sandal and you’re set.
Shameless plug here: I’m working (all the time) on the Hermitage Grand Gala, a new Derby eve gala hosted by Junior Bridgeman and Steve Wilson & Laura Lee Brown. Every day we get more scoop on the celebrities coming in town and more details on how the event will be coming together. Hint: It’s going to be pretty amazing.
This event has been the reason my posting has been so spotty but it’s truly going to be a one-of-a-kind experience. I’m really excited to share behind the scenes pictures and a whole look at the event afterwards. So stay tuned for that. But if you’re coming in town for Kentucky Derby and are looking for a big gala to attend, you can find all the ticket information here.
