Just an overcommitted girl trying to keep up with it all. Mom of three, co-owner of Lemonade PR, sports lover and F1 enthusiast always counting down to the Kentucky Derby.
So here’s a confession – I wasn’t always a big fan of monogramming. Before making the move to Kentucky, my experience with monogramming was limited to our bath towels at home. But as I’ve settled into a (semi-) Southern style of living, I have come to embrace the monogram. While I still have a little trouble with the traditional style, I love the idea of little personalized touches – especially in the home. Here’s the thing though – our married monogram is DDD so we settle for the single D on all home items.
Whatever your monogram or style, there’s a lot of fun options available to give your favorite things a personal twist. Here’s some of my favorites!
for your neck: There’s a monogram necklace option for everyone. If you’re not into the traditional monogram, get a necklace with your twitter handle or put together a charm necklace with your initial or your children’s initials. I especially love the Max & Chloe necklace with the tiny diamond in the middle.
for your home: If you want to move beyond monogrammed glasswear, pick up a fun lucite tray (love love love everything from Pencil Shavings Studio) for the living room. Or jazz up your bedding with a simple addition on the pillows. As for gifts, I think this jewelry box is perfect for a friend, sister or your mom. And monogrammed playing cards make a perfect and very thoughtful hostess gift.
for your bag: Get fancy and splurge on a monogrammed Louis Vuitton. Or if that’s a little (or a lot) out of your budget, these Marley Lilly cross body bags come in a ton of colors and are under $40! I also love a traditional monogrammed tote. Perfect for the pool.
for your desk: I have a slight obsession with stationary. I could spend hours searching through options – hello Lucky! has tons of options from girly to modern to simple.
for your phone: I have a slight obsession with all of Pencil Shavings Studios iPhone cases. The colors are bright & cheerful which help you find your phone when you’re digging in your purse.
