Happy Halloween friends!
I’m may or may not still be recovering from Saturday night’s Tony & The Tan Lines Halloween show. Let’s just say that a lazy Sunday isn’t so lazy when you have all these freaking kids. Love ’em to death but they were just a little too loud on Sunday morning. We ended up going as Ron Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone (this is the only picture we grabbed) which was great for Drew but I was kind of unknown unless we were together. I think it was payback for the year we went as Peg and Al Bundy and literally everyone just thought Drew was just a weird creep when I wasn’t standing next to him. Side note: If you’re in Louisville and ever need a last minute costume, the Nitty Gritty is the spot. The suit Drew wore for Ron Burgundy was spot on (and fit shockingly well). Going through all their costume rentals and clothes make me want to throw a theme party like I’m still in college.
Tonight we’ll be doing some trick or treating which is really just an elaborate way for parents can get kids to go collect candy for them. Does anyone else do some heavy skimming off their kids’ candy? If I see a Take 5 or a giant Butterfinger, they are automatically mine. Seriously, though, no parent in their right mind would let a small child eat all of the candy they get. My two-year-old would be awake for a year if she ate it all. So she gets a piece or two a day until she forgets about it. In the mean time, I am MEALING on the good stuff. By the end all she has are those gross colored Tootsie Rolls and Goobers.
Anyways, today’s post is decidedly less Halloween-y than I’d like but hey, it’s all I’ve got. I’m sure you all are tired of hearing about this jacket but it is, hands own, the most worn non-denim thing I own. I just ordered a khaki one to mix it up (although I’m wondering if I should have gone with the black instead) since it’s on sale for 30% off today. It’s the perfect layering piece and fits well enough to go over t-shirts, light knits and sweaters alike. I love it… almost as much as I love stealing my kids candy.

Laughing out loud at your Halloween candy thoughts. Love this jacket on you! Have fun tonight 🙂
I totally snagged that knit sweater recently and have been living in it NON stop!
