Okay so this post is a little delayed but I loved my Election Day outfit way too much to let it slide away into oblivion. Clearly I went a little overboard with my commitment to the red, white and blue but I can’t help but love Election Day. This year I made D3 tag along with me and he got to do a little faux-voting of his own (he even got his pic snapped by the Courier-Journal). I think he’s still pretty bummed that we don’t get to vote every day or at least once a month (gah, think about how many political commercials there would be if that was true).
It’s obviously a little chilly for this outfit today but it’s supposed to get a little warmer the next couple of days so the prospect of wearing loafers and ankle pants isn’t totally lost in a pile of snow. Either way you can file it away for a day when you’re wanting to get really patriotic with your outfit.
p.s. – You can’t really tell but I even wore a star necklace to complete the red, white and blue/stars and stripes combo. My cheesiness knows no bounds.
Stripe Blazer: Gap (bought it over the summer – also seen here, love this option); T-Shirt: American Eagle (this is one of the best white t-shirts I’ve ever found and I’m ALWAYS on the hunt); Red Pants: Old Navy; Leopard Loafers: Madewell (crazy similar and affordable here old – seen before here); Star Necklace: JewelMint; Sunglasses: Sole Society Photos by Whitney Neal.
