Happy Derby Week Friends!
Behind Christmas and maybe tied with my birthday, Derby week is my favorite time of the year. It’s the one time of year when it’s considered cool to be in Kentucky and come this Saturday, it will be the place to be. I love it (imagine me sing/yelling it like in this song).
So to celebrate all things Derby, Beth and I teamed up (along with the awesome photo skills of Whitney Neal) for a week long Derby extravaganza. From now until Sunday, we’ll be sharing posts of some fun looks for everyday at the track this week. And we’re starting off with a bang thanks to the gals at Clodhoppers and these gorgeous Milly numbers.
These looks are perfect for Derby and Oaks (with a hat to match) but I love them both for heading to the track on Wednesday or Thursday. You still want to look polished and put together but not over the top. The dress Beth is sporting also comes in a rose color which I was obsessed with, sadly they didn’t have it in my size. Another great thing about these dresses is they are perfect for a wedding, wedding shower, rehearsal dinner, etc.
Are you guys excited for Derby week?
On Me: Milly Piped Strappy Dress available at Clodhoppers; ZARA Shoes; Dandelion Earrings and Clutch
On Beth: Milly Eloise Printed Shift Dress available at Clodhoppers; Accessories: Beth’s Own
p.s. – I have a TMI confession to make but I think I was in serious need of a bra adjustment in these pics. So if you’re wondering what’s a little wonky, that’s probably it.
Here’s a sneak peek of Beth’s full look, head over to Seersucker + Saddles for more!

Danielle,
I’m heading into Louisville for my second Kentucky Derby girls weekend…I’ve had my dress, shoes, jewelry and facinator picked out for MONTHS….I just looked at the weather and I’m starting to get nervous…any tips on Derby in the rain? I’m thinking of bringing a second outfit, rain boots, rain jacket and a not so fancy dress.
Thanks for any advice and I’ve really enjoyed looking at all the derby dresses.
Beautiful dresses! I like how you paired the melon with the turquoise bag. Will you be featuring any hats this week?? I feel like a Derby outfit isn’t complete without a hat, or at least a facinator!

Thanks AJ! Yeah we’ve got a few looks with hats. We wanted to do some looks without for the days at the track earlier in the week when people don’t wear hats! I’ll have some hat action tomorrow or Wednesday!
