How was everyone’s holiday weekend? Ours was filled with tons of pool time and even more down time which was much needed after the last few weeks. But now it’s back to work – thankfully with a short week. I love thinking that it’s Monday and then realizing it’s already Tuesday. Hey, it’s the little things…
I feel like I need to make a quick PSA in regards to the lack of Bachelorette Secondary Embarrassment posts. I’m definitely watching but am having a bit of a hard time really getting into this season. Love me some Kaitlyn but not really sure about the group of guys lined up to date her. Also, I feel asleep in the middle of last night’s episode. Yup – I couldn’t hang. I blame it on having a bit of a summer cold and the Nyquil I took last night BUT I’m also kind of bored. Unfortunately I feel asleep before Amy Schumer got real on that JJ guy. Can anyone tell me why they moved that start time back from 8 pm to 9 pm? It totally kills my ability to DVR it and start about 30 minutes in so that I can fast-forward my way through the awkwardness and commercials. Either way, I plan on catching up and bringing back the recaps next week. Hopefully Nick will show up by then and liven things up.
On to the outfit. I bought this skirt on a whim at Nordstrom Rack in an attempt to give the longer, full skirt look a try. It’s the perfect work skirt – thicker fabric, flattering fit and comfortable for sitting at a desk and running around to meetings. I kept it pretty plain here but plan on pairing it with a printed blouse (like this one) for a more summer-y vibe.
Pleated Midi Skirt from Nordstrom Rack | Gap Black T-Shirt (old – worn with white jeans here)
Jessica Simpson Black Heels (old)| Coach Bag | H&M Sunglasses | Peggy Li Initial Necklace c/0
This skirt is incredibly flattering on you, and I love the camel(ish) color of it with the black. Definitely one of my favorite color combos.
