So you know how when you stand at your closet in the morning, you’re always hoping to put something together that no one else is wearing? (Hopefully it’s not just me!) Well, that was my plan as I picked out the outfit below for the Independent Fashion Blogger conference on Tuesday. But in a fun and, thankfully not embarrassing twist, another lovely lady was sporting the identical skirt.

The good thing is that Elspeth from Elle Bow Room and I took totally different spins on the skirt. (I ended up preferring her look! You’ll see below, the polka dots and booties were adorable.) The bad part for me is that the Miami-like humidity up here did a serious number on my hair and the pony tail I was rocking was less than ideal. Oh well.

IFB was a lot of fun and Alex from Lex What Wear and I met a ton of great new blogging friends – including fellow Kentuckian Madison from Fifth & Madison.
