It’s about damn time I caught up with a regular post on here. March was a serious whirlwind with birthday fun, a wedding, lots of 9 to 5 work obligations, basketball madness (that continues) and working on getting this baby room ready. Add to that, the fact that I am getting larger by the week (thought it might be over dramatic to say by the day but it’s probably true) and I’m looking forward to a little slower April. That may not be entirely possibly with all the Derby events getting underway. I’m pretty bummed that my favorite time of year here coincides with the dog days of this pregnancy but oh well.

Speaking of Derby, over the weekend I did an exciting shoot with some girlfriends and lots of fabulous Derby outfits. The Derby Dress of the Day feature will be getting a big upgrade in the next few days so stay tuned for some complete, head-to-toe looks.

On to today’s outfit. The warmer temperatures couldn’t have come at a better time in this march to 40 weeks because I’m getting pretty tired of pants. Dresses and the occasional skirt are a welcome relief from all the adjusting that goes with pants/jeans these days. This skirt is a new addition to my increasingly limited wardrobe. It made the cut thanks to it’s price tag (gah i love ya Forever 21), stretchy fabric (obviously) and length. Surprisingly enough, none of the items below is maternity, although this tee probably won’t stay in the rotation too much longer. Thankfully I’ve been able to make lots of stuff work double time, that being said I’m hitting the end of those days and am turning to the stretchy options more and more. I am looking forward to trying this outfit again once I lose the bump. 51 days and counting…
