First off, can we talk about how crappy I am at blogging these days? Seriously, I am the queen of good intentions, lofty goals and running out of time.
This whole working full-time with kids thing is no joke. Add in this little blog on the side and a pile of laundry that is threatening to overtake my house and you’ve got one worn out gal juggling a lot. Not going to throw myself a big ole pity party though because it’s not all dirty clothes and work. There’s been a lot of fun thrown in there too but even the good times get exhausting. I’m in need of one of those weeks with zero meetings and a weekend with nothing on the calendar. Super Lame? Yes, but totally necessary.
Now that I’ve finished confessing as to why I can’t get my ass in gear, it’s on to the outfit. You know me, keeping it pretty basic … and ALWAYS in booties.
I’m pretty obsessed with these puppies because of the color. The wine/burgundy color stands out just enough and pairs perfectly with both brown and black. And they’ve got that wedge. Gotta have that wedge on long days (and for balancing while carrying about 19 bags and random things for work/kids/life/returns at the mall).
As far as sweaters go, I’m not usually a huge fan of just a sweater. Honestly because I don’t think they suit my frame BUT this one has an interesting a-symmetrical cut and is beyond soft. Perfect for one of those days when I can actually sit down and catch up on that ever daunting email inbox.
Make it a good one friends and don’t forget to VOTE!

You’re a better lady than I. I couldn’t imagine juggling full time work, kids, plus blogging. Keep up the good work!
I’m a bad blogger more often than I’m a good one….and I don’t even have kids! It’s just tough to find the time when things get busy.
I’m all about the basic sweater/jeans combo…especially when booties are involved. I’m pretty sure I wear booties everyday as of late!
