Yesterday we heard the call, you wanted to see the hats so today Beth and I have some hats for you!
I’m not always a fan of the big hat. I love the way it looks but you can spend your entire day craning around to see the person you’re talking to and it creates a natural three foot boundary around you at all times (which is sometimes a good thing at the track). I’m more of a fascinator kind of gal but this beauty from headCandi may have me changing my mind.
So for today’s look Beth and I are giving you a blue combo of ladylike looks done traditional and with a little bit of fun flair. This Shoshanna lace dress from Blink! just screams spring, if a super ladylike, polite girl (certainly not me) ever screamed. I kept the color palette simple and muted while Beth popped on some color with the green feathers in her hat, turquoise shoes and bright clutch. When you go with a solid dress, like this flattering French Connection number from Dress & Dwell, you have tons of liberty to add accessories in bold prints and colors. Dandelion hooked us up with a lot of colorful baubles to wear and you can find just about any color in their selection. Just make sure that if you’re going BIG on the hat, you don’t go overboard everywhere else.
On Me – Dress: ShoshannaLace Shift Dress (similar here) available at Blink! Boutique; Clutch: Dandelion; Shoes: ZARA; Hat: headCandi by Britni Knable
On Beth – Dress: French Connection available at Dress & Dwell; Clutch and Bracelets: Dandelion; Shoes: Beth’s; Fascinator: headCandi by Britni Knable
It’s not always as glamourous as it seems, Beth and I are blogging besties cause we both can get our awkward cheese on too.
Love Beth’s look… head over to Seersucker + Saddles for more!

LOVE the Derby looks!! Stunning!! Love the hat you’re wearing Danielle! Reminds of Audrey Hepburn’s hat from My Fair Lady. So Classy!
I love that you added hats/fascinators today! A derby look isn’t complete without one.
Great looks both of y’all!

I’m with you about looking AROUND the hats, but it IS Derby, so I feel like some sort of headpiece is necessary. I love the ones you both chose! And your blue lace number is stunning!
