Here’s my feelings about the recent crop top trend summed up: love it on the right person and that person is not me.
I’ve seen the look and loved it on many a beautiful blogger but for me, let’s just say I’ll leave my bare midriff days back in 1999 (and let’s be honest, it wasn’t a good look for me then either). That being said, I don’t hate the shorter length shirt trend that’s happening and so this look is about as close as you’ll see me get to a crop top.
Admittedly, the pattern is a little bit bolder than I normally gravitate towards but I was feeling frisky when I went on a little Forever 21 spree. I’m pretty happy I went out on a {little} limb since I’ve been wearing this top pretty consistently since it arrived. I’ve paired it with flares, tried it with my favorite leather skirt and with these skinny jeans.
I wore this for a little dinner date. Keeping it simple but trying to dress things up a little bit. Speaking of eating, I went to Taste of Louisville last night and man oh man, was it a lot of delicious bites. Definitely recommend attending next year if you didn’t get to go.

This is so cute! I’m not a fan of the crop top but I like the idea of a shorter top that doesn’t show skin!

thanks pretty! yeah, this is my next best option to the crop. especially with high-waisted jeans or skirts!
I’ve gotta be honest, if I had the body I would totally rock a barelyshowingskin crop top. I love your alternative to it!

Definitely agree Jordan! Yeah if I had the body for it, I probably would too but it’s just not going to work on this gal!
