Okay so that post title may be a bit premature but with Christmas carols on the radio and Thanksgiving only a little more than a week away, I think it’s safe to say that we’re all in the holiday season kind of mood. And since I totally flaked on yesterday’s post (blame work for that one), I’m coming strong with two posts full of holiday sparkle.
I totally heart local boutique, and now online retailer, Dress & Dwell for their always-on-point mix of antique home goods, beautiful decor and furniture and most importantly their great mix of clothes and accessories (all at a great price points). A stop into their New Albany store is a great way to knock some gals off your shopping list (and maybe add a thing or two for yourself).
They’ve upped their game this year in helping gals here in town and throughout the country get holiday party ready with a Gatsby-inspired holiday look book that will have you added more sequins than necessary to your shopping cart (you’ve been warned). I was thrilled when they asked me to style up a couple items from the collection and today’s look takes a page out of their Gatsby book.
When I stopped into the store to pick out a piece, this sequined tunic (side note: I just realized this is listed as a dress on their website. If you are over 5’6 or so, it will be very, very short. Probably fine with leggings or opaque tights but wanted to let you know. I’m 5’8″ for reference) immediately caught my eye. Love that 1. It’s long enough to wear with leggings but not too long that you can’t tuck it into a skirt 2. There’s sequins but not too many. 3. That it’s only $52 – yup you read that right. The color also makes it perfect for the holidays but not themed where you aren’t able to wear it all the way into the spring.
I paired it with my new favorite pair of leather-in-the-front, comfy in the back leggings (they are the mullet of leggings) and for a little extra sparkle, this sequin sleeved blazer. So there you have it, my holiday party look.
P.S. – Stay tuned for next week when I’ll be giving away a statement necklace from Dress & Dwell – a little pre-Thanksgiving Thank You!

Wow, that blazer is just perfect for the holidays! I love it and totally don’t think it is premature at all. Who says we can only enjoy the December holidays for one month? I say, let’s make it two!
