Yesterday we had a little birthday dinner at our house for my brother-in-law Alex and since I usually look like a big mess for these, I tried to get my act together and look  presentable. I got these white shorts from Island Company a couple weeks ago and have been wearing them non-stop. I love that they are crazy comfortable (i.e. – feel like wearing pj’s) without looking sloppy. I just wish I could tie the bow like they did in their catalog.

I kept it pretty simple with a button down shirt but added these stripe flats and a little bit of sparkle to add some polish.

Oh and I couldn’t help but share a quick pic of the new puppy. His name is still TBD but we’re all in love with the little guy.
